THINX creates wearable products for people who menstruate, by developing a highly absorbent fabric that wicks away moisture from the skin, ensures no leaks, and is also anti-microbial. THINX work to break the taboo and stigma around periods.

THINX journeyed to Sydney & Melbourne for pop up shops and various community events. They approached me collaborate on a T-shirt to stock exclusively at their Sydney pop-up space, and to get involved in a community event: "THINX loves Pink Bits" - where we handed out our collaboration t-shirt and socialised with community members.

When creating the t-shirt illustration, I strived to balance both Pink Bits and THINX aesthetics, but also deliver an honest portrayal of a user's experience of the product whilst menstruating.
I centred this illustration upon THINX's recognisable marketing visual of the cube / 3D shape. The illustration features one person, who is comfortably sitting / hunched over, with pubic hair peeking out from their period-panties, body hair and stretch marks celebrated.

The pink colour reflects the Pink Bits brand, its muted tone also reflecting THINX's contemporary aesthetic. The illustration's bright red hue implies menstrual blood without it being obviously visible within the design.
