Randwick Spot Festival | Live Mural Installation

Mar 2022

The Randwick Spot Festival has grown to become a favourite in the Eastern Suburbs event circuit, and is Randwick’s biggest annual outdoor festival.

A live art installation exploring the celebrations of Mardi Gras and LGBTQIA+ representation was showcased amongst the day's festivities. The mural installation was created upon an artist cube with x4 LGBTQIA+ artists developing their work simultaneously.

Pink Bits' artwork celebrates bi-representation through it's colour palette and sought to challenge bi-erasure through the mural's large 2.4 x 2.4m scale.

The piece evokes the joy of Mardi Gras celebration and queer bodies dancing.
